Ruaha River Lodge is a highly-regarded and long-established safari lodge located on the banks of the Great Ruaha River, in the heart of Ruaha National Park. As the first lodge to be built in the park, it boasts one of the most prime locations for wildlife viewing, with animals frequently congregating at the river to drink.

Accommodations & Amenities

The lodge is composed of 24 stone-and-thatch bandas, or chalets, which are built into the rocky kopjes along the riverbank. Each banda is spacious and includes an en-suite bathroom. They are designed to blend seamlessly with the natural landscape, offering an immersive experience. The main dining area, lounge, and bar are located on a large, elevated deck, providing stunning views of the river and the surrounding wilderness. The lodge prides itself on its authentic safari feel, with a focus on genuine hospitality and a close connection to the environment.
