After breakfast, your journey begins as you drive to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its majestic baobab trees and large elephant herds. In the dry season, the Tarangire River is a magnet for wildlife such as lions, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and antelopes gather in impressive numbers. After breakfast, depart from lodge in Karatu and begin your scenic journey into the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, driving through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. In the late afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in the Serengeti before heading to your accommodation for a magical night under the stars.

After an early breakfast, you’ll begin your drive back toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area, descending into the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, a haven for wildlife and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Formed by a massive volcanic eruption millions of years ago, the crater now holds the highest density of animals in Africa.

Prepare for an unforgettable game drive as you explore the floor of the crater, where you may encounter black rhinos, hippos, lions, zebras, flamingos, and possibly even cheetahs and leopards. With its unique, enclosed ecosystem, Ngorongoro offers some of the best safari photography and wildlife observation opportunities on the continent. After an exhilarating day, ascend the crater wall in the late afternoon and continue to your lodge in Karatu.

After breakfast, you’ll take a short domestic flight to Zanzibar, the Spice Island of the Indian Ocean. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by our team and transferred to your beach resort. The next few days are yours to enjoy the stunning contrast of white-sand beaches, coral reefs, and warm Swahili hospitality.
