Detailed Itinerary

Your unforgettable journey begins upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where our friendly Ecolegacy Africa driver will be waiting to greet you with a personalized welcome. You’ll be transferred in comfort to the peaceful Hotel in Arusha. Take time to relax after your travels. Unwind by the pool, stroll through the lush garden, or enjoy a refreshing drink at the bar. In the evening, our professional safari coordinator will meet you for a detailed pre-safari briefing, giving you an exciting glimpse of the days ahead. Rest well and prepare for the adventure of a lifetime!

After a hearty breakfast, your adventure begins as you head to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s hidden gems. This park comes alive in the dry season when large herds of elephants and other wildlife flock to the life-giving Tarangire River. The landscape is a striking mix of open savannah, lush swamps, and ancient baobab trees that tower over the plains. Enjoy incredible wildlife sightings, including elephants, zebras, buffalo, oryx, and the elusive lions that prowl these lands. Tarangire is also a paradise for bird enthusiasts, hosting over 500 recorded species. After a full day of game viewing, you'll head to the Highview Hotel (or similar lodge) for a relaxing evening surrounded by the sounds of nature.

After breakfast, your safari adventure continues as your guide picks you up for a scenic drive toward the legendary Serengeti National Park, passing through the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy sweeping views of highland forests and Maasai villages nestled in the rugged terrain. As you descend into the vast Serengeti plains, you’ll be welcomed by one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on earth the Great Migration. Witness thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and antelope on their relentless quest for fresh pasture, a movement that draws predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs into dramatic encounters. The Serengeti's rich mosaic of ecosystems from golden savannahs to acacia woodlands, supports an incredible diversity of life, including elephants, giraffes, hyenas, jackals, and hundreds of bird species. As dusk falls, you'll arrive at Serengeti Heritage Camp.

After a hearty breakfast, set out for a full-day exploration of the Central Serengeti, one of the richest wildlife habitats in Africa. This iconic region, with its sweeping savannahs, rocky kopjes, and riverine forests, offers unrivaled game-viewing opportunities throughout the year. As you traverse the park’s varied landscapes, keep your camera ready for encounters with the legendary “Big Five”  lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and (with a bit of luck) the elusive black rhino. You’ll also witness cheetahs scanning the plains, giraffes gracefully moving between acacia trees, and hyenas trailing herds in search of opportunity. This day promises thrilling wildlife scenes from dramatic hunts and playful cubs to the subtle rhythms of herbivores grazing peacefully. With each moment, you’ll become more immersed in the wild, experiencing the raw beauty, ancient rhythms, and unforgettable magic that make the Serengeti a world treasure. Return to your camp in the evening for dinner and relaxation under the stars.

After breakfast, depart for the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most breathtaking natural spectacles. As you descend 600 meters into this ancient volcanic caldera, prepare for an unforgettable wildlife experience. The crater’s enclosed ecosystem is a sanctuary for an incredible range of animals, offering a rare chance to spot leopards stealthily prowling, cheetahs sprinting across the plains, hyenas scavenging, and graceful antelopes grazing in the open grasslands. Keep an eye out for black rhinos, flamingos by the soda lake, and elephants wandering through the lush Lerai Forest. This is one of the few places in the world where you can encounter such rich biodiversity in a single day. After a thrilling day of exploration, you’ll return to Highview Hotel or a similar of for a relaxing evening, the perfect moment to savor the beauty and wonder of what you've just witnessed.

After breakfast, you’ll set off for Lake Manyara National Park, a hidden gem nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. This small but diverse park is a haven for wildlife and is especially known for its elusive tree-climbing lions, a rare and remarkable sight. As you explore the park’s rich mix of woodlands, grassy floodplains, and the shimmering lake itself, you may encounter herds of elephants, hippos wallowing in shallow waters, giraffes browsing the acacia trees, and a variety of antelopes including impala, bushbuck, and waterbuck. The primate population is equally impressive, featuring blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, and the ever-curious olive baboons. Lake Manyara is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, hosting over 400 species of birds, from flocks of pink flamingos wading in the shallows to majestic birds of prey soaring above and colorful residents like the lilac-breasted roller. After a rewarding day immersed in nature, you’ll drive back to Moshi, where you’ll spend your final night of the safari reflecting on the unforgettable experiences of the past week.

After breakfast, you will be comfortably transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.
