Overview
The northeast coast is one of Zanzibar’s calmest stretches, with long beaches and views across to Mnemba Island. Mnemba’s reefs are protected as the Mnemba Island Marine Conservation Area, home to turtles, reef fish and coral gardens. One day is spent on the water; the rest are yours to enjoy the beach at your own pace.

Your driver meets you at the airport for the drive across the island to your hotel on the northeast coast.
Mnemba Atoll by boat
A boat trip to the Mnemba Atoll, looking for dolphins on the way. Dolphins are wild animals: a good crew keeps its distance, never chases them, and lets you enter the water only if they stay calm and close. Then snorkel the coral reefs around Mnemba Island and finish with drinks on a sandbank.
A free day on the beach
A day at leisure on the beach, with views of Mnemba Island, or add a tour such as Jozani Forest or a spice farm.
