Overview
A fly-in safari replaces the long drives with short flights in a light aircraft, so more of your time is spent watching wildlife, and you see the landscape from the air. This itinerary includes two days in Tarangire with a walking safari, three days in the Serengeti following the migration, Lake Manyara and a full day in the Ngorongoro Crater. The last morning is a guided walk along the crater rim.

Arrive in Arusha
We meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport and drive you to your hotel in Arusha.
Fly to Tarangire
Fly from Arusha airport to Tarangire for a full day of game driving, known for its elephants, birdlife and quiet, uncrowded feel.
Walking in Tarangire
A morning walking safari with an armed ranger, then an afternoon game drive. In the dry season, herds of up to 300 elephants dig in the riverbed for water, and fringe-eared oryx and gerenuk are seen here.
Fly to the Serengeti
Fly from Kuro airstrip to the Serengeti and spend the rest of the day on a game drive in the central Serengeti.
Two more days in the Serengeti
Full days of game drives around Seronera, following the migration when it is nearby. The Serengeti is believed to hold more than 3,000 lions, and leopards are commonly seen around Seronera.
Fly to Lake Manyara
A game drive to Seronera airstrip and a flight to Lake Manyara, arriving for lunch. Evening game drive among more than 400 bird species, tree-climbing lions and elephants.
Ngorongoro Crater
A full day in the crater, the largest unbroken caldera in the world, about 20 km across and 600 metres deep. Visit Lake Magadi, where flamingos and hippos gather.
Crater rim walk, then fly out
A guided walk along the western crater rim with an armed ranger, past the Oloirobi viewpoint, with views into the crater and towards the Serengeti. In the afternoon, fly from Manyara airstrip to Arusha, Kilimanjaro or Zanzibar.
